The story behind Refúgio do Anjo
Anjo Campestre grew from a simple, deep connection to the Azores: the wish to care for a place and share it with people arriving from far away. We're not a remote management company — we're people who chose this island and this house.
The house on Rua Coronel Miranda was waiting for a second life. We gave it back its light, comfort, and purpose, without erasing the stone, the wood, and the time that make it what it is. Every decision was made so guests feel the character of the house, not the hand that restored it.
The renovation
A traditional Azorean house brought back to life, supported by the European Construir 2030 programme. We fully renewed the kitchen and the structure while keeping the soul of the building.

Investment support
Operation ACORES2030-FEDER-02311500 — “Implementação do Alojamento Local – Refúgio do Anjo” — is co-financed by the European Union through the Açores 2030 programme and the Construir 2030 incentive scheme.
Objective: to rehabilitate a two-storey townhouse with an attic at Rua Coronel Miranda 27 (São José parish, Ponta Delgada), on a 79.00 m² plot, and to fit it out with the furnishings and equipment needed to open it as a T3 Alojamento Local unit offering guests the comfort, safety and quality the scheme requires.
